About The Owner
Owner Steve Gala PE, RN grew up in Lakewood, Ohio; a small suburb of Cleveland. After graduating from Lakewood
High School, he attended The University of Akron where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in
Mechanical Engineering.
During his course work at Akron, Steve was also involved in the Cooperative Education program where he got
to work with several local contractors learning how the systems he would soon be designing actually
get installed.
Prior to graduation, he landed a position at a large consulting firm in downtown Cleveland. As a project
Engineer and six years there, he worked on many different medium to large size projects. (Some more interesting
than others, for example several large newspaper printing facilities.) Then after a short stay helping
another local contractor with design-build projects and coordination, Steve landed at a small Solon design
firm where he was exclusively responsible for all of the engineering design and drafting. During his six
year stint, the project list went from 70 smaller jobs to over 150 small to medium jobs with a few large
ones mixed in. A testament to his efficiency and experience.
While working full time in Solon, Steve also attended Cuyahoga Community College full time, chasing a
passion, and earn his Associated Degree in Nursing. Currently he still tries to put in a few shifts
here and there at UH Geneva.
Through the years Steve has always felt that there was a better, easier way to do business. A way of doing
business that is a win-win situation for all parties involved. With the start of Elemental Engineering LLC
in June of 2008, Steve feels that we can all win.
Steve's hobbies are vast and include muscle cars, military airplanes, Lego products, home remodeling and
furniture building. Steve feels that his extensive hands on experience in home remodeling makes him a cut
above the rest when it comes to visualizing in 3-D how a system works and is installed with in the building.
"When you understand the buildings construction, you are better able to design a system to meet it's need."
